A quick review and look at the week past. A new benchmark we will call:
Sunday Wrap
It’s been a busy week and I made a lot of progress here. I also made some interesting discoveries about both myself and this business of blogging/writing/marketing.
I received a email from a famous author and I learned how to fail upward.
Monday 3/28/11: Bucket of Blood anyone?
A dimly remembered childhood memory.
The rant on Monday was Zippo Heads and was about American ingenuity and perseverance in the face of third world nation aggressiveness.
Tuesday 3/29/11: The review was of Carl Hiaasen’s latest, “Star Island” A quick puke, two rails of blow and she was solid.
The Rant D’Jour was I am not as think as you drunk I am and concerned itself mostly with a man, his alcohol intake and the police.
Wednesday 3/30/11: We began our “Giraffe” journey. Metnoya was the post and it has to do with a lot of things.
Strap in. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride.
I came to several conclusions yesterday. Had a drink and a quick decision. And made a surprising and unexpected discovery.
It’s all about what happens when you give up and succeed. Thanks to Seth Godin are due. I wrote him about it, he read my blog and responded. A very classy guy, who walks the talk.
The RantD’Jour that day was supposed to be my WEEKENDER column but I guess I forgot. Instead I put up this, which is one of my all time favorite dream induced pieces. Hello, I’m Johnny Cash.
Thursday 3/31/11: Day Two of the “Little Giraffe” saga. I owe him/her a lot. I believe little giraffes are real
The Rant D’Jour, Monsters Among Us is a very sad, but true story, ripped from the headlines.
Friday 4/1/11: Enough with the little real giraffe already where we put the little guy to rest. Oh I am sure he will appear from time to time but he has served his purpose for now.
The RantD’Jour was the WEEKENDER column of the week. Going To Pot and is a pretty fair piece of writing by the seat of my pants.
Saturday 4/2/11:
Aggregate Saturday is the usual mish-mash of ideas too half baked for a full blog post but too good to throw away. Come to think of it I don’t think I ever throw anything away. I use all the parts of the pig here, including the squeal.
The Rant D’JourYou BUTTS is one of a series of anti-littering stories I have written over the years.
And so, that was the week that was. A peek at the stats:
While I won’t give you actual numbers it does give me hope.
And: almost 6,500 words written this week, not counting recycled “rants”. If you add them in then it’s very close to 10,000 words this week.
Housekeeping:
The book:
Thanks for a GREAT week.I know less than nothing about high finance. A good day is… more
