It must have been like a dream come true to the sweat-palmed short-eyed excuses for men who chatted her up. A conversation that gets steamy real fast in an internet chat room is nothing out of the ordinary I guess. And as shameful as it is, the conversation between adult men and underage girls (or boys) happens all too often as well.

But how often do you think these perverted dimwits actually get to chat with Miss America? That’s just what occurred a couple of months ago when Miss America Lauren Nelson teamed up with law men in Long Island to catch Internet predators. Miss America posed as a 14 year old girl and even used photos of herself as a teenager to lure the sickos into a home stuffed full of police and the host of “America’s Most Wanted” John Walsh. According to Lauren “The story was that they knew I was 14, and I told them I was cutting school to meet with them,” Nelson said. “I stood outside on the porch, and I would say, ‘Hi’ to them and wave them inside.”

Once she entered the home with the suspect, Nelson said, she left the room, and police and “America’s Most Wanted” host John Walsh confronted the suspect.

According to reports the sting netted eleven men who wanted to have a little quality time with a 14 year old girl who looked like a young Miss America. The 20 year old Lauren Nelson’s platform in the beauty contest was Internet safety for children so she certainly did her part. I can’t help but think about the 11 guys who fell for the trap. It must have been the thrill of a lifetime. Imagine how happy they must have been for the few moments after seeing this blonde haired gorgeous young girl beckoning them into the house and then how very unhappy they must have felt when they ran into the arms of John Walsh and a dozen of New Jersey’s finest. And also imagine the lives of these so called men when they do the hard time they deserve. Being incarcerated is bad but probably not as bad a having a cell mate named Bubba who thinks it’s just hysterical that your Internet date with Miss America landed you in his lap. So to speak.
