Not sure for certain how the Christmas ornament ended up by our pool.

For some perspective on this you need to know we live very far away from any other Homo Sapiens. In the woods. Behind a big fence.

Seriously. You can not see our closest neighbors from almost any point on our property.

So how would this perfect little Christmas light end up here?

Today’s rant is, as usual, the one that runs in the WEEKENDER.

Another brand new calendar is staring at me while I toil here. 2011. If you were born in 1999 you are 12 now. I guess if you are you probably knew that. And if you are 12 you shouldn’t be looking at the ads in the back pages.

How about a yearly cliché? I have been writing in this space for six years now. I have produced a column a week in that time frame, never, as far as I know missing one. Somewhere north of 300 in all.
